The Re:Union adoption kit is entirely community-made. Four artists gave their time and talent to create something the Altered community can keep forever — each one leaving their mark somewhere along the Woollybacks' road.
Sweorkie is well known in the Altered community for her brilliant foil card work on the original Altered sets from Equinox. She created the first limited edition Woollyback token, Santa and the Woollybacks, for the 2025 holiday season. Sweorkie continues to be a part of the future of Altered and returns in this campaign to offer her creative skills with a new Woollyback token card and foil design on all three.
GabrielBargiel brings his distinctive style to the Altered world. Gabriel has been a long-time player of Altered and has created numerous alternate art token cards for the game over the years. The community loves Gabriel's sense of fun and cuteness that he infuses into every art piece that he makes. We're excited to have Gabriel contributing to the future of Altered!
Karifur is known across the community for her stunning alternate art treatments, including the stained-glass style that has made her work instantly recognisable. Not only has she been contributing her art skills to the game since the beginning, she's also been part of the Re:Union effort right from the start. Her Woollyback token card brings something completely different to the set, and makes the trio feel like a true collection.
JH_withdaGOAT fell in love with the Woollybacks as soon as she started playing Altered. Bringing her whimsical art style to the game, she illustrated the Adoption Certificate as well as nine new Woollyback stories that follow our beloved mascots on their adventures through the modern world.

Altered TCG raised €6.2 million at launch. A global community fell in love with the game. It almost didn't survive.
Altered TCG was created by Régis Bonnessée and published by Equinox, launching with a record-breaking Kickstarter in March 2024. It grew fast. Five sets, a massive BGA following, and a game unlike anything else in the TCG world.
When Equinox's funding campaign for Set 6 fell short, they made the difficult decision to step back. Before they did, they gave the community something remarkable: They gifted set 6 and set 7 digitally to everyone, and their support to keep the game going through community initiatives.
Re:Union is that continuation. A non-profit organization, formed by players, building the next chapter of Altered with the community at its center.
With the help of Equinox and their commitment to supporting the community, Re:Union was able to rescue the Woollyback herd!
Re:Union volunteers have made this happen by giving of their time and talents.
290 Woollybacks have wandered out of Asgartha and into our world, and they need guardians. Adopt a Woollyback is the first campaign from Altered Re:Union. Each adoption kit includes a Woollyback plush, token cards made by community artists, and a serialized adoption certificate. Every euro raised goes back into the game.
The campaign runs in two phases. Phase 1 is a month-long Community Contest where 40 Premium Adoption Kits are given away free. The Woollyback Store opens in Phase 2, once the contest closes. [Store opening date TBA]

You’re purchasing the Adoption Kit itself, which includes the certificate, the token cards and the other collectibles. The Woollyback is our gift to you for giving one of them a home.
Each adoption certificate is individually numbered and matched to one Woollyback. Your certificate shows your Woollyback’s name, its serial number and you as its guardian. In the Premium Kit, your serialized foil token cards carry the same number.

The Altered Re:Union Association is a non-profit formed by players, registered in France as an association loi 1901. Our mission is to continue developing Altered under license by creating and selling new sets and products, with all profits going back into the game’s future.
Equinox published Altered after its Kickstarter launch in March 2024. When the Set 6 funding campaign fell short, Equinox stepped back. Before it did, it gifted Sets 6 and 7 digitally to every player and supported community initiatives, including Re:Union. Equinox also helped us rescue the Woollyback herd. Re:Union is the game’s continuation.
Re:Union is run entirely by volunteers and has no paid staff. The artists we commission are always paid for their work.
